Between nature, art and enogastronomy
Lake of Iseo (Sebino Lake) is located between the provinces of Bergamo and Brescia and its main tributary and emissary river is the Oglio river.
The upper part of the lake and the western shore are characterized mostly by a small coastal stretch bordered by mountains, among which Monte Guglielmo (1,957 m asl) and Mount Bronzone (1,334 m asl) stands out. Characteristic of the upper part of the lake, especially between Riva di Solto and Castro, are also the gorges, vertical rock slabs overhanging the water.
Art and culture: two of the "I borghi più belli d'Italia", Lovere and Monteisola. Various water sports like rowing, swimming, windsurfing, fishing, underwater and sailing activities, the latter favored by regular winds.
The lake, being rich in trout and pike, favors lake fishing which is still active in the coastal countries.
On the shores of the lake is also produced an excellent olive oil, with remarkable organoleptic characteristics and the renowned Franciacorta wine.
From 2016 known all over the world for the installation of the famous artist Christo "The Floating Piers", a world-wide scope event!
